How is relationship information derived from Myinfo Data?

Myinfo provides data that can help partners derive certain relationships, such as parent-child or guardian relationships. Here's how:

1. Children Birth Records

• These refer to locally registered births in Singapore.

• Available in both parents' Myinfo profiles.

• Records are based on ICA's electronic birth certificates from 1985 onwards.

• For children aged 21 and above, only the Birth Certificate Number or NRIC/FIN will be displayed.

2. Sponsored Children Records

• Refer to children born outside of Singapore.

• Available only in the sponsoring parent's Myinfo profile, based on ICA records.

• For sponsored children aged 21 and above, only the Birth Certificate Number or NRIC/FIN will be displayed.

Using either Children Birth or Sponsored Children data, you may derive relationships such as:

• Son

• Daughter

• Guardian

3. Spouse Information

• Spouse records are not directly provided in Myinfo.

• However, if the marriage is registered in Singapore, the following data is available:

  • Marriage Certificate Number

  • Marriage Date

Some partners retrieve both husband’s and wife’s marriage details to confirm a spouse relationship.
