[17 Oct 24] New userinfo endpoint in Singpass OpenID Discovery Endpoint

Update: We will be rolling out the change in production on 29th October 2024 @ 4pm

Dear Partners and Agency Representatives,

We are pleased to inform you that we are introducing new userinfo endpoints metadata to the Production Singpass OpenID Discovery Endpoint (https://id.singpass.gov.sg/.well-known/openid-configuration) on 28th October 2024.

This change is part of our feature development, and is optional for your integration. If your system does not utilise the OpenID discovery endpoint, no action is required on your part, and you may disregard this email. The change will not impact the availability of your e-services.

Partners using OpenID Discovery Endpoint should ensure that the introduction of a new userinfo endpoint will not break your existing integration. Potential issues could surface when partners use a library which automatically performs a call to the newly discovered userinfo endpoint.

Actions Required

We have introduced the new userinfo endpoint metadata to the OpenID Discovery Endpoint in our Staging environment on 27 Sep 2024. Please test to ensure that your existing Singpass integration is not disrupted in the Staging environment.
