Singpass Identity Hint – Staging Environment Live on 3 Aug

Dear Partner,

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming feature enhancement to the Singpass login flow: Identity Hint.                                           

What you need to know

• On non-public browsers, returning users will see their full name displayed as an identity hint during login. This helps users confirm they are logging in to the correct account.
• Authentication requirements and security assurance are unchanged; users are still required to complete full verification (e.g. Passkeys, QR login, SMS OTP, Face Verification) before gaining access to any e-service.
• A comprehensive FAQ will be shared with you closer to the production launch date, covering expected user experience, edge cases, and partner FAQs.

You are encouraged to test the updated login flow for your e-service in the staging environment before 17 August. No integration changes are required on your end.
