Dear Agencies,
As shared during our reopening briefing in November 2024, we had informed agencies on the planned decommissioning of Myinfo v3. We would now like to formally inform all agencies that the migration to Myinfo v5 must be completed by 30 September 2026.
What do you need to know?
- Myinfo v3 and Persons-Basic APIs will be decommissioned after 30 September 2026. Agencies using these APIs will need to migrate to Myinfo v5 with FAPI 2.0 by this date to ensure continued access.
- Singpass is also adopting FAPI 2.0 for all APIs — including Login and Myinfo. All APIs must comply with FAPI 2.0 by 31 December 2026. This update aligns with global security best practices and will help strengthen user data protection.
- FAPI 2.0 details will be available from September 2025. To support this transition, we will provide updated technical specifications, integration guides and migration toolkits.
- To ensure you continue receiving updates, please verify that the support email listed in your application profile is up to date. You can refer to this guide on how to update your support emails.
What do you need to do?
-
If you are using Myinfo v3 or Persons-Basic:
- Begin planning your migration to Myinfo v5 with FAPI 2.0 compliance. Please ensure you allocate the necessary development resources and budget.
-
If you are already using Myinfo v5 (Userinfo):
- No migration to Myinfo v5 with FAPI 2.0 is required at this point. Your agency will only need to ensure your application meets FAPI 2.0 compliance by 31 December 2026.
- Continue monitoring your inbox for updates, and refer to the upcoming migration toolkit (by September 2025) for implementation guidance.

FAQ:
- How do I know if I am still on Myinfo V3/V4?
You can check your Myinfo integration version by logging into the Singpass Developer Portal and reviewing your application details. If your app type is listed as Myinfo v3/v4, you will need to migrate your app. You can also check your API endpoint — older versions use /v3/person or /v4/person.
- What would the main changes be with the release of FAPI 2.0?
One key change is the reintroduction of DPoP (Demonstration of Proof-of-Possession), which strengthens request-level security. More details, including implementation guidance, will be shared by September 2025.
- Do I pause my migration now if I am in the midst of migrating?
No, there is no need to pause your current migration. You can continue with your existing plans to move to Myinfo v5 (also referred to as the “new Myinfo”). If you are not yet FAPI 2.0 compliant, you will just need to incorporate FAPI 2.0 changes before 31 December 2026. Migration toolkits and guidance for FAPI 2.0 will be released by September 2025 to support any required updates.
- What is Myinfo v5?
Myinfo v5 is the latest version of the Singpass Myinfo API. You can refer to the specifications of Myinfo v5 here: docs.developer.singpass.gov.sg.
- Is Myinfo Business APIs also required to migrate?
No, this migration exercise only applies to Myinfo (individual) APIs. Myinfo Business APIs are not affected at this time. We will reach out to Myinfo Business APIs RPs separately.
- What is FAPI 2.0?
FAPI 2.0 (Financial-grade API) is a set of security and interoperability standards developed by the OpenID Foundation. It is designed to protect APIs handling sensitive data — particularly in identity and financial systems — by introducing advanced security measures such as proof of possession tokens and stricter authentication protocols.
- Will this upgrade result in the change to Myinfo Pricing?
There is no change to Myinfo pricing at the moment.
